The Job: Boxset Edition

Hi all!

We’d like to deeply apologize (sorry!) for how long it’s been since our last update and thank you for your continued patience.

Over the past few months, we’ve been working closely with a manufacturer to produce THE JOB. Unfortunately, we ran into some issues: they were unable to meet the level of quality we expect, particularly with the box and dice components that are so important to the final product. On top of that, there were delays in delivering the prototype, which made it clear they were not the right partner.

Given these challenges, and with the added complications of the current international situation affecting production and logistics, we’ve made the decision to shift and relocate our manufacturing plans. We’ve since been in discussions with alternative manufacturers, carefully evaluating which partners can meet our quality standards, stay within the campaign budget, and ship to our warehouses without increasing costs for backers.

The good news is that we expect to begin production very soon. All files are ready, and once we complete the prepress process with the new manufacturer and approve their proofs, we’ll be able to give the green light to start manufacturing. We are still expecting no change to the fulfillment timeline.

We’ll share another update as soon as we have more concrete details.

We have exciting news! While we wait for the prototype, we have decided to share the digital files! They have been sent out to you via your pledge manager survey! You should have received an email with a link to your downloads. You can also login to your survey, go to The Job project, and click the blue "Get Your Digital Downloads" button to access the files as well. 

As we said in the last update, the files may change slightly with tweaking for production so if that is the case then we will send updated files again after production begins. More on production in the next update!

hi everyone!

sorry for the radio silence, but i've been working day and night for the new Mausritter Month event, which you can absolutely check out over here.



It's a month long collab featuring a new official campaign boxset JUNK CITY written by Isaac Williams and myself, as well as 16 (!) projects by third-party creators. There's lots of cool stuff like a setting for Mausritter full of mechs, one that happens inside a provençal-style kitchen, an amusement park and many others. Check them out here.  

That said: I am of course pushing forward the THE JOB boxset (thank you all once again for making this happen!) at good pace. We’ve now submitted a first pass of all print-ready files and are waiting for the printer to produce and deliver a first prototype. This will likely take a few weeks, but once the prototype arrives, we’ll review it carefully to ensure the quality of all components — and of course, I’ll share photos.

As for the digital files, those will be sent out later on, most likely after we’ve received and approved the prototype. This is because some small adjustments might be needed for the physical production, which could affect the digital materials as well (nothing major, just minor tweaks). Once everything is finalized, we’ll send you the complete digital package.

Hello backers!

Hope everyone has had a great summer! Quick update to say that everyone should have gotten a notification email over the weekend about their pledge manager closing. Cards will be charged this Wednesday. 

Reminder that addresses will not lock until closer to fulfillment so you have plenty of time to update your address ahead of fulfillment. If you need help with that or amending your order after it is locked, please do not hesitate to reach out to us at [email protected].

The pledge manager survey for the campaign is ready to go out to backers!

Tonight we have sent out the "smoke test" which is an initial test of the pledge manager survey sent out to a small percentage of backers to make sure there are no errors. We expect to send the rest of the surveys out in the next day or so. The pre-order store will also open at this time so if you have any friends that missed the campaign then they will be able to access that soon as well.
